My dad was a Navy man, so for a while we went where Uncle Sam sent us. Fortunately, both of my parents’ “roots” were in Lumberton. When my dad retired, he retired to Lumberton. I graduated from Lumberton High School and PRCC Surgical Tech program. I never saw the inside of an operating room after graduation. During my time at PRCC, I met and became friends with Jennifer (aka The Wife). We never dated, but the Lord reconnected us in 2009 and we married 2011, 11/12/11 to be exact. We became youth leaders when our dryer broke and Phil Jones, a deacon at FBC Lumberton, came to fix it and recruited us. It has been such a joy to serve at FBC Lumberton. Though our full-time jobs and especially our precious 2 year old girl keep us very busy, we find strength and rest in God, in each other, and in our very loving church family.
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
